Philanthropy has always been a key component of the mission of the Naperville Woman’s Club. Members promote better lives for others through volunteer service. Each year we contribute tens of thousands of dollars to a changing list of beneficiaries. As a member of the General Federation of Woman's Clubs, NWC also supports a number of state, national, and international initiatives.
The members select a "Focus Charity" to be the major beneficiary of NWC philanthropy for one year. Smaller amounts are given to various other charities. These philanthropic endeavors are supported by the club's fundraisers throughout the year. Our Focus Charity 2019-2020's contribution to Mutual Ground was $10,000. the year's total cash and in-kind contributions totaled over $48,000.
Life today remains a mystery. We will not be selecting a "Focus Charity" for 2020-2021.We aim to keep our philanthropic mission this year, but are unsure of the amount we will be able to distribute come spring.
Below is a list of some of the charities who we have supported during the past 10 years.
